Q1: Don't know how to choose the Hoop Length?

A1: Hoop Length refers to the length from the left bracket to the right bracekt of the regular frame (plastic frame) that comes with your machine. Just measure the regular frame of the machine to get the Hoop Length data ( Photos as reference for you)

Q2: Not sure if this size can be used for your machine?

A2: Measure the Hoop Length of your different plastic frames to see if it is the same as the hoop length in the options. If yes, the frame can use on your machine.

FAQs

How can I use the markings on this magnetic hoop to center my design accurately?

Use the Sewtalent hoop’s center and grid markings to align with your pre-marked garment guides. For SHODA embroidery machines, match your design’s centerline with the hoop’s markings using a T-square or placement ruler. This ensures perfect centering for T-shirts, sweatshirts, or other flat fabrics every time.

How should I store the magnetic hoop safely when not in use?

When not in use, keep the Sewtalent magnetic hoop snapped together to protect the magnets and surfaces. Store it away from sensitive electronics, credit cards, or other magnetic materials. Always place it on a flat, dry surface to prevent accidental attraction or damage in your embroidery workspace.

What is the correct procedure for hooping fabric with this magnetic hoop?

To hoop using the Sewtalent magnetic hoop for SHODA embroidery machines, place the bottom hoop on a flat surface, lay your stabilizer and fabric over it, then gently position the top hoop to let the magnets lock automatically. This no-force method ensures even tension and prevents fabric distortion or stretch.

Should the stabilizer be placed inside the hoop or floated underneath?

For most embroidery projects, sandwich the stabilizer between the magnetic hoop layers with the fabric for firm hold and smooth stitching. For thicker or hard-to-hoop items, try floating the stabilizer beneath the bottom frame. Both techniques work well with SHODA embroidery machines, depending on project needs.

How well does the magnetic hoop grip slippery fabrics like silk or nylon?

The Sewtalent magnetic hoop provides strong and even pressure, making it excellent for slippery or delicate fabrics such as silk, nylon, or stretch knits. It minimizes slippage and hoop marks compared with traditional frames. Using a stabilizer under the fabric improves grip and embroidery accuracy on SHODA machines.

What precautions should I take when using this magnetic hoop around children?

These industrial-grade magnets are powerful and should be kept out of reach of children. Always store the hoop snapped together and in a secure place. Avoid letting children handle it, as the magnetic force can cause pinching or injury. Treat the Sewtalent hoop as professional equipment, not a toy.

Can this magnetic hoop be used for thick materials like denim or jackets?

Yes, the Sewtalent 9.5″ × 9.5″ (240 × 240 mm) magnetic hoop easily holds thick fabrics such as denim, canvas, or jacket material used with SHODA embroidery machines. Its strong magnet system maintains consistent tension across layers for stable stitching, reducing the need for excessive force or re-hooping.
