The Sewtalent 5.1" x 5.1" Magnetic Hoop for Smartstitch Machine works great in my Smartstitch 1501. It is a perfect fit.
I find that you cannot beat a magnetic hoop for fast and consistent hooping.
The only caveat is watch your fingers when using magnetic hoops.
