FAQs
What should I do if I notice the fabric slipping slightly during the embroidery process?
If fabric starts to slip while embroidering with the Sewtalent 6.9″ × 6.9″ (175 × 175 mm) magnetic hoop, check that the stabilizer is heavy enough for the design. Thick or slick fabrics may also benefit from adding non-slip tape on the embroidery frame. Lastly, ensure that the hoop size suits your design; overly large frames can cause a ‘drum’ effect, reducing tension on the material.
When using this magnetic frame, should the stabilizer be placed inside the frame or floated outside of it?
With the Sewtalent magnetic hoop for industrial embroidery machines, either technique works. For most projects, place the stabilizer inside the hoop—sandwiched with fabric—for balanced support. For tough items such as thick jackets or bags, floating the stabilizer beneath the frame allows better alignment while avoiding marks. Both methods help achieve stable, wrinkle-free embroidery results on NT-C1501 or NT-C1201 models.
Why is my fabric puckering in the center during embroidery, even though I hooped it tightly with the magnetic frame?
Puckering often occurs from stabilizer mismatch rather than hoop tightness. For example, knits perform best with medium-weight cut-away stabilizers, while woven fabrics may use tear-away types. When using the Sewtalent magnetic hoop or other machine embroidery hoops, avoid stretching the fabric before clamping. Balanced tension allows field areas about 6.1″ × 6.1″ (155 × 155 mm) to stitch smoothly without surface distortion.
What type of magnets does this frame use and how strong are they?
The Sewtalent embroidery frame uses high-grade N52 neodymium magnets, recognized for extreme holding strength and long-term reliability. Each magnet provides consistent magnetic force throughout extensive use, ensuring your fabric remains secure even under high-speed stitching. This strength lets you handle heavy or layered textiles seamlessly on NT-EM01 and NT-C1206 embroidery machines.
