This Sewtalent magnetic hoop is slightly heavier due to the embedded magnets that ensure fabric stability. However, it is precisely engineered for Alfa embroidery machines and remains within safe operating weight limits. The extra weight does not increase motor strain, and its stable frame helps prevent fabric shifting during long embroidery sessions.
Needle strikes usually occur when the selected hoop size in the software is larger than the real sewing field, or when the design exceeds 3.1″ × 12″ (80 × 300 mm). To prevent this, always select the actual or smaller hoop size in your Alfa machine. It's also recommended to run a trace test before starting embroidery to confirm the design fits properly within the magnetic hoop area.
