Yes. This frame size is ideal for floating small or irregular items that are hard to clamp, such as ties, socks, or sleeves. Simply hoop a sticky stabilizer or a base fabric, then place the small item on top. It keeps your material flat and secure without distortion, making embroidery on tiny or delicate items in your DISEN DSC-J1201 or DSC-G1502 machine much easier.
Like most third-party magnetic hoops, this one is not automatically recognized by your machine. You’ll need to manually set the 6.5″ × 6.5″ (165 × 165 mm) frame size in your embroidery software. Always make sure your design fits within the 5.7″ × 5.7″ (145 × 145 mm) actual sewing field to prevent needle strikes when embroidering with models such as DISEN DSC-W1204 or DSC-J1506.
Although the initial cost is higher, the Sewtalent magnetic hoop quickly pays for itself through increased efficiency and reduced defects. It saves hooping time, lowers fabric wastage, and improves output consistency. For DISEN machines running multi-head models like DSC-G1204, completing more jobs per shift means faster ROI and better profitability in both small and large embroidery operations.
A needle strike may happen if your embroidery design is larger than the 5.7″ × 5.7″ (145 × 145 mm) sewing field or if a bigger hoop size was selected in the machine settings. To avoid this, always select the correct or slightly smaller hoop setting and perform a trace test before starting. This safety step protects your needle and ensures precise alignment on all DISEN embroidery machine models.
