While the Sewtalent magnetic hoop is ideal for most embroidery applications and compatible with GALAXY GX1201A and GX1501A models, a traditional screw hoop may still perform better for very rigid or thick materials like boot tongues. These situations need extra tension that a screw hoop can provide, but for apparel and bags, the magnetic version offers superior speed and ease of hooping.
The Sewtalent 6.5″ × 6.5″ (165 × 165 mm) magnetic hoop has a smooth, polished surface designed to be gentle on all fabrics when used on GALAXY embroidery machines. In most cases, protective stickers are not needed. However, for ultra-delicate or glossy materials, some users prefer adding a thin protective layer, like painter’s tape, for additional protection and stability.
The magnetic hooping station from Sewtalent allows for a much shorter learning curve compared to screw-based hoops. The simple snap-on mechanism fits easily with GALAXY GX1206A and GX1210A embroidery machines, eliminating tension adjustment errors.
