Yes. The Sewtalent magnetic embroidery hoop can work interchangeably with your existing Ricoma standard hoops of the same length. Operators can easily switch between the magnetic frame and the regular hoop according to project size or fabric type, maintaining consistent hooping tension and alignment efficiency.
No. The Sewtalent magnetic hoop features a smoothly polished surface that protects all fabric types from damage. While protective tape isn’t required, users working with extra-delicate or slippery materials may optionally place a thin layer of painter’s tape or non-slip film for additional grip and stabilization during magnetic embroidery work.
If the magnetic embroidery frame feels slightly loose, securely hand-tighten the connecting screws first. Then use a screwdriver to gently firm the screws that attach the bracket to the hoop only. Avoid over-tightening, as precise tension ensures stability while preventing stress on the embroidery frame and preserving compatibility with Ricoma MT, SWD, or EM1010 series machines.
