The Sewtalent magnetic embroidery hoop is slightly heavier than regular plastic embroidery frames due to its integrated magnets, but it’s precisely balanced to stay within Ricoma machine tolerance. Its lightweight alloy frame ensures stable stitching without extra strain on the motor, keeping your embroidery process smooth and safe.
Yes, you can easily extend your embroidery area using the re-hooping technique. The magnetic frame lets you slide and snap the fabric back into place, allowing for continuous embroidery such as table runners or borders. This process is faster and more accurate compared to traditional hoop systems, especially on Ricoma MT or CHT models.
As with most third-party magnetic hoops, you must manually set the hoop size in your machine's software. Simply select or input the 5.1″ × 5.1″ (130 × 130 mm) sewing field to ensure your design fits. This ensures precise magnetic hoop embroidery alignment and prevents stitching outside of the allowed area on Ricoma EM-1010 or MT-1501 machines.
If minor fabric movement occurs, check the stabilizer type first. Weak stabilizers or very stretchy materials can cause slipping. Try a firmer stabilizer, apply non-slip grip tape on the magnetic hoop edge, or use a smaller embroidery frame for better tension. With proper setup, Sewtalent magnetic hoops deliver secure grip and flawless stitch accuracy on Ricoma machines.
