It’s great for jacket backs, purses, totes, and similar materials where traditional hoops might leave marks or struggle to hold the fabric evenly on QSEW QS-1201 and QS-1501B machines.
The 8.7″ × 5″ (220 × 130 mm) hoop is moderately sized, ideal for medium projects like sleeves or apparel panels. For very small items like baby onesies, you can use the floating method by securing stabilizer under the lower frame, allowing smaller pieces to be embroidered neatly on QSEW embroidery machines.
Most users sandwich both fabric and stabilizer between the magnetic hoops for stable results. However, when embroidering bulky or irregular shapes on QSEW machines, floating the stabilizer outside the lower rim is an effective alternative technique that reduces hoop marks while maintaining alignment accuracy.
If fabric movement occurs, verify stabilizer strength and ensure it matches fabric thickness. Extremely smooth or heavy materials might need non-slip tape on the frame edges. Also, confirm the project fits the hoop area; excess space can create drum tension. Correct setup ensures the Sewtalent magnetic hoop stays stable on QSEW embroidery models.
