FAQs
What precautions should I take if I use this strong magnetic frame in an environment where children are present?
These industrial magnetic hoops contain very powerful magnets. Always keep them away from children, pets, and electronic devices. When storing, snap the top and bottom frames together to reduce exposed magnetic force, and place them in a secure cabinet. Never allow children to handle or play with them, as pinching or injury could occur.
Should I buy a complete set of magnetic frames, or just the one size I use most often?
We recommend beginning with the embroidery frame size you use most frequently. For example, many Honpo users start with the 10.5″ × 12.4″ (265 × 315 mm) hoop and later expand to additional sizes. Owning multiple embroidery machine hoops allows efficient hooping for varied fabric types and designs, saving time and improving production consistency.
Can I use this frame to complete a design larger than the frame itself by using a re-hooping technique?
Yes. The Sewtalent magnetic hoop makes multi-position embroidery easy. You can release one side, slide the fabric forward, and re-snap the frame in place. This technique allows you to stitch continuous designs such as table runners or long logos without wrinkles, offering more flexibility than traditional embroidery hoops on Honpo embroidery machines.
When using this magnetic frame, should the stabilizer be placed inside the frame or floated outside of it?
For most embroidery projects, it’s best to sandwich the stabilizer and fabric inside the magnetic frame to hold tension evenly across the sewing field. However, when working with bulky or fragile fabrics, many users prefer to float the stabilizer beneath the lower frame. Both methods work well with Honpo models like HP1501AA and HP1201BC, depending on material type.
